Its a question we get a lot… everyone knows where the shop is but wonders where we’ve hidden the actual bakery! The bakery is located along Marine parade behind what used to be the Green lantern restaurant. As your walking up to the castle look out for an old fashioned gate with our lovely handpainted sign on it.
The bakery has been a labour of love for our family for four generations. All our pasties are made by hand using local ingredients wherever possible. We also handmake our own bread and cakes.
We are proud to be a traditional family run bakery. All our products are handmade in St Mawes using traditional methods and locally sourced ingredients where possible.
All our products are made with love, care and that special touch. You can taste that small batch difference! Some bakeries like to brag about how much they make, we are proud to only make half a dozen of something because we know that's the way to get the best results.
For over 100 years St Mawes bakery has served the people of St Mawes providing their daily bread and of course their pasties! Patrick and Lydia (father and daughter) work their socks off day in, day out to bring you the best bakery goods.

We are most famous for our pasties! Our pasties are handmade in small batches using only the best ingredients. We also offer a vegan pasty option. Our pasties are available to buy at our shop on The Quay in St Mawes.
